Palatine Public Library District Foundation Goals
  1. Communicate to the business community the value of the library to the community
  2. Stimulate planned giving from businesses and citizens to the Foundation
  3. Conduct events to make the Palatine Public Library District Foundation visible to the business community
  4. Co-sponsor events with the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce.
  5. Conduct several fundraisers to support the Library’s operations and facilities. The targeted goal is $30,000.
  6. Activate the website and make sure it is accessible, engaging and accurate.

December 3rd

Tuesday, December 3rd, is #GivingTuesday. Across the world, individuals and families take a moment on this day to reach out and support the organizations they hold dear -- particularly those that make a meaningful difference in their lives -- such as our library.

The Palatine Library provides a wide variety of important materials and services to seniors, adults, children and organizations within our community.

One important offering is the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Reading to a child is one of the most important ways to prepare them for school. Research has consistantly shown that the more exposure a young child has to reading, and to listening to others read, leads to greater success in school and helps prepare them for opportunites later in life.

The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is open to all community residents from the birth of their child and continues right up until their child enters Kindergarten. The library provides materials to record the books that are read with, and to, the child – and the child will receive fun prizes along the way!

Every little bit helps -- a donation from you of just $10 allows our library to provide one child with these materials. Of course:

A gift of $50 will support 5 children, $100 will support 10 children.

Whatever amount you choose to give, your contribution makes an impact, whether $5, $500, or any other amount.

located at 20530 N, Rand Road, suite 448, in Deer Park, Il.
